Blackwater Scapes sells natural aquarium botanicals and aquascaping materials, including leaves, seed pods, cones, roots, bark, wood, and related botanical products.
Because these are natural materials, variation is expected. Differences in size, shape, color, texture, weight, density, tannin release, sinking time, and breakdown rate are normal and are not considered defects.

Blackwater Scapes products are intended for aquarium use only.
Our products are not for human consumption and are not intended to be used as food, tea, herbs, supplements, medicine, animal feed, or treats.
Preparation is required before aquarium use. Customers are responsible for rinsing, soaking, boiling when appropriate, and gradually introducing botanicals into their aquarium. See our How to Prepare Botanicals guide for recommended methods.
Botanicals may release tannins, soften, decompose, grow biofilm, temporarily float, and affect the appearance or chemistry of aquarium water. These are normal characteristics of botanical aquarium materials.
To the extent permitted by law, Blackwater Scapes is not responsible for livestock loss, plant loss, water parameter changes, aquarium imbalance, improper preparation, misuse, or system failures resulting from the use of our products.
Safety Notice
Keep all products out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest. Preparing a botanical for aquarium use does not make it safe to eat. Do not use Blackwater Scapes botanicals for cooking, brewing, herbal preparation, animal feeding, or any non-aquarium purpose.
